. go *<. < N§&% Mr. and Mrs. Charles Eugene Spruill Bjarulll (Plaint* Bride At 2:00 Sunday, March 20, amidst pink and white candlelabra, pink carnations, white gladiola, and white daisies. Ms. Linda Winslow Pierce of Merry Hill became the bride of Mr. Charles Eugene Spruill of Creswell, N.C. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Terry Jones of Edenton. The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J. Alton Winslow of Edenton. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs . Harold Buss of Rt. 1, Roper and the late John L. Spruill. The wedding was held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Alton McCoy Winslow, brother and sister-in-law of the bride of Fit. 3, Edenton. The lower floor of the home was lovely decorated with greenery and matching flowers. The bride decended down the stairway and joined her daughter, Miss Sylvia Marie Pierce of Windsor who escorted and gave her mother in marriage. The bride chose a formal gown of catillion blue silk featuring an empire waist. She carried a cascade consisting of white and pink rose buds and blooms. She wore baby’s breath in her hair. The bride’s daughter and only attendant wore a formal gown of burgandy silk featur ing a criss cross bodice with an overlay of chiffon. The ac cordian pleated skirt fell soft ly from the empire waist. She carried a nosegay of pink and white sweetheart rose buds, burgandy cosmos and verigated forget-me-nots enhanced by flowing streamers. She also wore baby's breath in her hair. Music was furnished by Mrs. Kay Cherry, organist, and Mr. Elmer Overton, Jr., soloist, both of Edenton. Mr. Alan Chappell of Tyner served as best man for the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was given by Mr. & Mrs. McCoy Winslow at their home. Family and friends attended. After returning from a trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Merry Hill. C. The bride is the daughter of Colonel and Mrs. William Rudolph Etter, 15 Runn ingbranch Drive, Havelock, N.C. and granddaughter of Jim P. Partin of Edenton. . The groom’s parents are Colonel and Mrs. Patrick Faulkner, 24 Washington Drive, Cherry Point, N.C. Captain Robert Weeks USN, CHC, officiated at the two o’clock double ring ceremony. The chapel was decorated with four pedestals, holding candles with hurricane globes surrounded by greenery and baby’s breath. A bouquet of white tulips and carnations was placed on the altar. Mrs. George Monarch was organist. Mrs. Robert Sperry, soloist, sang “Sunrise- Sunset,” “One Hand, One Heart” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The bride, given in mar riage by her parents, was escorted by her father. She wore a gown of candlelight bridal satin with a Victorian neckline and bodice, accented with Schiffli lace. The long sleeves ended in wide cuffs. The A-line skirt was edged with matching lace and extended into a chapel length train. Her candlelight derby hat was accented with a blusher of bridal illusion with pouf and streamers. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white snowflikes and roses. The bride chose Laura Hut chison of Edenton as maid-of honor.
