Mrs. Tanya Hart, star host of Boston’s “Coming Together” T.V. program, found Backus’ endeavor to aid the community via the pro ceeds of his records, a very impressive and needed pro ject. Backus has joined with Mr. Alvin B. Downing Sr. of Edenton, also a local singer, to continue funding of this project.
