To Be Held
Revival services are now in
progress thru April 24th at the

The visiting Evangelists
are Rev. and Mrs. Doyle
Gadberry of Norman, OUa.
The Gadberrys are national
Evangelist for the
Pentecostal Holiness
Organization and have had
very successful revivals from
the East to the West Coast.
Services will begin nightly
at 7:30, Sunday night service
will begin at 6:30. Special
singing will be rendered
nightly by incoming and local
singers.

Pastor, gives a cordial invita
tion to the public to come and
be a part of this revival.

Association, composed of men
who served as paratroopers
and glidermen in the 17th Air
borne Division during World
War 11, is conducting a
membership drive to locate

Report
Youth Baseball
The first ball of the season
will be thrown out as the
teams are gearing up for
opening day. Over 80 little
leaguers ages 10-12 were pre
sent for the first clinic of the
season held last Saturday.
The clinic for all 8-9 year olds
playing in the midget league
will be held May 3 at 6:00. All
6-7 years olds in the T-ball
league will have their clinic
on May 4 at 6:00. Both of these
clinics will be held at the
Fisher Field ballpark. If you
have not already registered
for this year’s action please
do so before the clinic.
Summer Soccer
Any youth interested in par
ticipating in a summer soccer
league may register at the
Recreation Department until
May 20. The season will begin
in June with most games
played on Saturday mornings.
Call or come by the Recrea
tion Department for more
information.
Adult Softball League
There are sixteen Men’s
softball teams participating
in this year’s league. Games
are played Monday through
Thursday nights at Earnhart
Fields in Edenton and at the
Chowan Field in the county. A
pre-season tournament is
scheduled to begin April 25
with all teams in the league
participating. The regular
season will begin May 2.
The entry fee for the
Women’s league is due Mon
day, April 25. A pre-season
tournament is also scheduled
for the week of May 2 for the
Women’s league with all the
I teams participating.

may be picked up at the
recreation department.
Aerobic Exercise Class
It’s time now to get in shape
for the summer and warm
weather and the best way to
do it is to get involved in the
aerobic exercise class at the
Recreation Department.
Classes are held every Mon
day and Wednesday night
from 6:00-7:00 and every
Tuesday and Thursday mor
ning from 10:00-11:00. Julie
Spivey is the class instructor
and wishes to invite any lady
interested. You may call Julie

N.C. Dance Alliance set for

Sunday.
The meeting will begin at
9:30 A.M. in ECU’s Messick
Theater Arts Center and will
be led by Ai ea I Alliance coor
dinator Patricia Weeks. The
hour-long meeting will be
followed by dance workshops
and sessions of ECU’s sixth
annual “Day of Dance.”
Purpose of the Dance
Alliance is to provide a means
I for communication regarding
dance activities in the state,
to enable dance-affiliated peo
ple in North Carolina to meet,
to raise public awareness of
dance and to sponsor at least
one statewide dance con
ference each year.
The ECU meeting is plann
ed for potential members in a
15-county area, covering
Beaufort, Bertie, Camden,
Chowan, Currituck, Dare,
Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Mar
tin, Pasquotank, Perquimans,
Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington
Counties.
