Council on Ministries Ist Siuvt'i v at 7 p M Gospel does not work (B what a blow it receives wHi it is applied in other areas of a person’s life. No one knows the full dimensions of why a person may corrupt the mar riage relationship. Forgiveness is needed. We need to “forgive as we would want to be forgiven.” That takes bravery and courage. An element of marriage, so important and easily forgot ten, is humor. Those who laugh together stay together. In laughter so often we bridge the gap that divides. We see our sins in a new light. We recognize our common sin fulness, humanity, finiteness. Who knows all the picture. Only God! Yet we in our pro ud pretensions think we can consign someone to hell. We play God with other lives “you ought. . “you must ..“you will or else...” No wonder God gave us the gift of laughter. We would cry too often, and God would too, if we didn’t have this gift. Laughter helps us to forgive others and ourselves, helps us to trust that one God has given, and trust in God again.
