A registra tion fee is charged. Gymnastics Class The Recreation Depart ment is offering a gymnastic class for ages 4-12 this sum mer. Hie classes will be of fered in one week sessions from 1:30 - 2:30 daily. Em phasis will be on tumbling and floor exercises. The older ages will also work on the balance beam. The classes will be taught at Walker School. Call the Recreation Department at 482-8595 for more information. Wrestling Camp The Recreation Depart ment will sponsor the First Annual Recreational Wres tling Camp this summer for anyone ages 6-17 interested in learning more about wres tling. The camp will be held July 11 - 23 at Walker School. The camp will meet on Mon day, Wednesday and Friday of each week with an informal tournament held each Satur day for the participants. T shirts and trophies will be awarded. Contact tbe Recrea tion Department for more information. Aerobic Class It’s time now to get in shape for tbe summer and warm weather and the best way to do it is to get involved in the aerobic exercise class at the Recreation Department. Classes are held every Mon day and Wednesday night from 6:00 to 7:06 and every Tuesday and Thursday mor ning from 10:00 -11:00. Women’s Softball In the women’s league Ryland notched 2 games in the winner’s column by defeating Coors 6-3 and Hospital 9-5. Haaal Baas whit 4-4, hitting 3 homsras, while Pam Babb and Chris Clark hit one homarun each to help Nixons defeat COors 17-4. In the closest game of the week the Superstariettas and Charlie’s Angels held each other scoreleea until the Storiettes came up with 4 runs in tbe bottom of the 4th inning. The Angels retaliated with 2 runs in the sth and 3 runs in the 6th. Hie Superstariettas scored 2 in the bottom of the 7th inning to take their second win over tbe Angels. Men’s Seltball Exxon and Texaco put their perfect records on the line in an effort to claim sole posses sion of Ist place in Division I. After the “gas war” Exxon had prevailed 9-2. Both offenses sputtered in the early innings as only Ex xon managed one lone run through the first 5 innings. In the 6th inning tbe Tiger in Ex xon’s tank roared for 7 edits final run In the top of the seventh. Texaco managed thahr two runs in the bottom of tha inning for die final score. Exxon got good milage from Booger Smith stem went 3-4 and Charles Williams and Rod Oqm who were 2-3. In other games Ryland eas ed past Busch 7-6 in a nine in ning affair which saw tbe lead change hands 4 times, Tyner held off the Pixxa Hut 8-6, Natural beat Miller 12-5, and Pickwick plucked tbe Eagles 10-8.
