the heighth of the concrete |
j dam at the hydro-clectric plant own-1

that negotiable coupon bonds of i
said town in an amount not exceed-1
ing one hundred thousand dollars j
($100,000) be issued and sold, the]
said bonds to bear interest at a rate1
not exceeding six per cent, payable
semi-annually, and shall maturewith1
in the maximum period of thirty!
years and be issued in such form as
the governing body of the Town

plant upon the Notla River, and a
lax inerefor." If upon canvass of
the returns and declaration of the
result of said election, it appears
that a majoriy of the votes east
favor the issuance of the said bond?
in the amount aforesaid for the purposes
herein described, then this ordinance
shall immediately go into
effect, and the governing body of
the Town of Murphy shall be fully
empowered and authorized to prepare,
issue and sell the coupon
bonds of the Town of Murphy to an
amount not exceeding $100,000.00
for the purposes as set out in section
1 of this ordinance, and to lew a tax
annually thereafter for the purpose
of paying the principal and interest
of said bonds as the mature.
Section 6. That notice of the
aforesaid election shall be given by
publication of a copy of this ordinance
for three successive weeks in

not later than twenty days prior to
