home from Murphy, last Monday,
caprc^ed a la~ge ground hog that
rol'ed down a steep bank into the
road and was caught under a wagon
wheel when Mr. Ira Sneed leaped
ftom the wagon and struck it with a
rock.
Mr. Manuel Stiles and family of
G -storia. are visiting friends and
relatives this week.
Our school Is progressing nicely
with Mr. O. A. Mashburn as principal
and Mrs. Oaliie Stiles assistant.
The people of Pleasant Grove
church wert very much disappointed
about the revival meeting that was to
be held thi* week.

It is reported here that a car run
into Mr. Jim England near the Ducktown
basin recently and killed his
horse and seriously injured him. Mr. j
England is in the Ducktown hospital
and it is said the occupant of the car \
was seriously injured and In the hospital.
We do not know the particulars.
