NOTICE
A called meeting of the County
Board of Elections was held in Murphy,
N. C., on the 20th day of Sepi
tember, 1926, and the following business
transacted:
Moved by Dr. J. H. Crawford that
the vote by which an order for a new
registration was passed at a recent
meeting of the County Board of Election,
be reconsidered: Second by W.
P. Odora; motion carried. A. H.
Brown, J. H. Crawford and W. P.
Odom voting in the affirmative to

Moved by Dr. J. H. Crawford that
it is the sense of this Board that an
entirely new registration of voters
at this time is unnecessary, but that
the Registrars are hereby required
and directed to revise the registration
lists as required by law taking therefrom
names of such as are dead, or
who have lost their citizenship by removal
and the like, so as that the
books shall contain only the names of
the legal qualified voters of their respective
precincts. Ordered that this
resolution be published in the Cherokee
Scout two successive issues.
