V .VAttlfior 2nd. is evidence that the ele. urate if braking away from patty lines in local affairs and exercisi: k. its ?vn . .lament at the poll* an i dov- not b.irdly follow the leade s of any party. Cherokee County, normally Republican by a large majority, elected a sheriff, clerk and coroner on the Democratic ticket, at the same time giving Mr. Smathers a majority. Swain, another *-?ro:.g Republican County, elected Sheriff and Cle.k of Court on Democratic ticket Jackson a Democratic stronghold I elected every Republican on the county ticket, but at the same time gave Waver a good majority for Congress Macon, another Democratic County elected a Republican Representative and a County Commissioner, at same time giving Mr. Weave, a good majority. McDowell, still another Democratic County, elected the Republican ticket To say that the Democrats carried Cherokee and Swain, or that the Republicans carried Jackson and McDew ell is a mistake. Cherokee and Swain arc stiil Republican counties and Jackson and McDowell aie still in the other column. It was the Re publicans who elected the Democratic officers in Cherokee and Swain and i' was the Democrats who elected thi Republican officers in Jackson anc McDowell. If these officers are wise they veil heed their lesson. The issues in al these counties were clear cut. If th< officials heed the mandate of the peo pie and deliver the goods the abovi conditions may continue for sonu thr.e hut if they fail to live up to th? trust reposed in them by the voter two years hence they will all go ou by a larger landslide than they wen in. The people pay for a moral an? business administration of their coun ty. They are entitled to it. The da; has arrived in many counties and sooi will in all when they ore going to hav it regardless of political lines.?Tlv Clay County News. A TREA1 Those who attended the entertain ment of Mr. B. L. Lunsford at th High School Auditorium on Monda evening enjoyed a treat such as w seldom have an opportunity to share The entertainment, in some way was not widely advertised, or th< people did not realize what was be ing offered, and the attendance wa small. Those who missed this missei one of the most enjoyable and instruc tive entertainment that has been ii Hayesville this season. In song and story we were carrie< back to the boyhood and girlhooi scenes and amusements of fifty year ago; to the days of square dances quilting parties, husking bees an< school exhibitions, and many of u can dimly remember a partial surviva tr r?i? , iveep cumulative System Active QmI HeaiARequiresQood Elimination ^"\NK can't fed well when there is V?y a retention of poisonous waste in the blood. This is called a toxic condition, and is apt to make one tired, dull and languid. Other symptoms are sometimes toxic backaches and headaches. That the kidneys are not functioning properly is often shuwu by scanty or burning pai sage at secretions. Many people have leaned the value of Doon'a Pi/lm, a Stimulant diuretic, when the kidneys ? seem functionally inactive. Everynm Aokyoau neighbor!
