Mrs. William Spear left the first of the week for a two weeks trip to Atlanta and other points in Georg a. While gone Mrs. Spear will visit friends and relatives. Andrews High School base ball team played Robbinsville baseball team on Tuesday of this week ?.nd came off victor by the score of 20 to j 4. On last Saturday, the team play ed Sylva and came back on the los j ingr end of a 6 to 5 score. This is the | first game the team has lost th s | season. ? T. M. Worthey spent the first of I the week in Atlanta where he was I making: purchases in connection with his store. I On last Friday night, the declama | tion contest in the Andrews High School was held. Cecil Chandler won the medal; Paul Reese was awarded second honors; Mark Boone, Joe Brown and John Swan all three tied for third place. The judges for the cccassion were: Mr. and Mrs. B. W. S:pe and Ralph Moody. Mr. J. A. Morgan came home last Saturday from the hospital in Atlan to. He remained only a day and went back for further treatment. Mr. Mor gan is looking well and has every rea son to believe that he is now on the way to rapid improvement. The Andrews Woman's Club has ac cepted the invitation of the women of Bryson City to be with them on Fri day of this week.
