They took Allie Xelma to the doctor. She has been ill for the past week. The boys of Bachman High Basket ! Ball team played the Murphy Team Friday, February 20. The score was 8-1 1 in. favor of Murphy. The boys team here played Duck I town and Copperhiil Saturday. The score between Ducktown and Bach man was 11-13 in favor of Bachman. That between Bachman and Copper hill was 11-21 in favor of Copperhiil. Miss Glynn Cole spent the week end at her home in Ducktown. Messrs. Fred and Guy Hall visited their sifters, Jaunita 'and Geneva, Sunday. ? o ? Mr. Marion Hamby visited his bro ther, William, Monday afternoon. P0STKI.L Mr. S. I). Jones has been very ill for several days with a severe attack of rheumatism but is improving at this writing. ? o ? Mrs. N. A. Quinn was on the sick list last week. Miss Blanche Teague of Asheville is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Teague, of Turtletown, Tenn. Mr. Earnest Allen took Mr. Burle Brown to Copperhiil last Thursday to have an x-ray mad -3 of his lungs and stomach. Mr. BYown has been in declining health for several years. Friends and relatives are wishing for him an early recovery. Mr. N. A. Quinn is finishing a lot j of lumber for Mt. James Bryant of | Patrick, N. C., to repair his dwelling house on his newly bought farm. j Mr. A. S. Stile* is having his corn mill rebuilt at Powell. Mr. Riley Kil patrick is doing the work. Mr. J. M. Kamby is having some real improvements made on his farm this year. Mr. Glenn Te^crue of Wehutty, was the dinner puest of his uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. T. Allen last Saturday.
