AKIN RITES ARE_ HELD IN CHURCH HERE THURSDAY Business Firms Close Down As Many Attend Funeral. Funeral servic s for Mr. Sam Akin. 02. were held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 3 < cl ck with the R v. T. F. Higgins. t astor. and the Rev. J. H. Carper officiating: . Peyton G. Ivie was in charge of funeral arrangements. Interment was in Sunstt cemetery. Mr. Akin died suddenly of a heart attack in Franklin the preceding Tuesday.
