THOMAS CARROLL 85 YEAR
OLD CITIZEN HONORED AT
BIRTHDAY DINNER
Mr. Thomas Carroll, familiarly
known to many as "Uncle Tom" was
honored at a birthday dinner Sunday
September 15, in observance of his
eighty-fifth birthday at the home of
his son. Mr. Fred Carroll at whose
home "Uncle Tom*' now resides.
Thinking back over his eighty-five
year's, Mr. Carroll says that the
Master has been good to him and
that he ought to be good to the Master.
He says that he has wotk d
hard raising his family attesting t:>
the fact that hard work seldom kills.
In fact, Mr. Car:oil is still remarkably
hale ana hearty for a man of his
age and he looks eagerly to the future
desirous of living as long as he
can.
