J. C. Amnions, pastor of the First Baptist church of Leaksville, will conduct services at the First Baptist church in Murphy Sunday. Mr. Amnions is considered one of the most forceful preachers in the association, and Baptists are fortunate in having a chance to hear him here. All Baptists in the community are invited to hear him at the services. BOY SCOUT NEWS Joseph Simons, Scribe The Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1 of Murphy, North Caroilna met Tuesday, October 13, at the Methodist church. The meeting was callI ed to order at 7:00 o'clock. The | Scouts were urged to pass more tests j and advance in Scouting. The four patrols played each other in "stealing the bacon".
