P The ceremony was sole mi zed in a 1 > quiet and impressive service at the ' home of the bride on Elizabeth Ave-' J nue December 14. The home was decorated with palms and poinsettia blooms. Rev. W. W. Akers, pastor of * the bride, performed the ceremony * in the presence of the immediate x families and a few intimate friends. 13 The bride wore a handsome dress Is of brown velvet with matching ac- ? cessorics, and a corsage of tailstnan 1 roses. After the ceremony a small 1 reception was held at the home. An ( ice-course was served. 1 The young couple will make their home with the bride's mother at 1350 ^ .Elizabeth avenue for the present. They will take a short wedding trip e later. The bride is the daughter of Mr. f and Mrs. C. J. Pope of this City. She * attended the city schools. She is a * beautiful and admired young girl ' with many friends. Mrs. Passons was * one of the winners in the "Miss ^ Charlotte" contest held here. ^ Mr. Passons is the son of Mrs. ^ Jessie Passons of Murphy, but is ^ making his home heie. He was edu- ^ cated in Murphy and at the Univeraity of Alabama where he was a member of the S. P. K. fraternity. | F Mr. Passons is now connected with j r the North Carolina State Highway patrol.
