Mrs. Britt. also rhairman of districts opened her ad ircss by asking for clubwomen to jecome more Federation minded, for 50 per cent more Junior clubs, and stressed the importance of regular institute meetings. Miss Gilbert spoke on "State Aid for Public Libraries". She cited instances showing the need of more bookmobiles, more public libraries, and better equipped libraries, which will result in incalculable enrichment of the life of the people of North Carolina. The luncheon was held at the Riverside hotel. The tables were beautifully decorated with bowls of blue ageratum, white pompon chrysanthe nums, Dower tapers, and interspersed with sprays of silver Kenilworth vy. The luncheon was served by members of the Womans Missionary lociety of the Andrews Methodist -hurch. Favors were Cherokee county narble paper-weights embossed with stive hemlock. The prize for largest attendance vith distance considered was won by :he Canton Womans club with Mrs. Tom Reeves as president. An invitaion from the Womans club of Cullovhee with Miss Alice Benton as presdent was accepted for the district neeting to be held next year at Western Carolina Teachers college, time o be determined at a later date.
