1 by officers, Lunsford shot Spivey his
j brother-in-law, following a quarrel
I after Spivey had allegedly pulled a
i knife on him.
i The officers stated that Spivey and
] Lunsford had spent the afternoon to!
gether and returned to Lunsford's
house where their wives were prei
paring supper. A quarrel is said to
| have ensued between Spivey and his
i wnef who was Lunsford's sister, and
I that the argument led to words between
the two men.
The argument is reported to have
taken place in the kitchen. Lunsford
is said to have walked into an adjoining
living room and that Spivey |
followed his wife out of another door
that passed through a bedroom to
the front porch, but that in some
manner the two met in another bedroom
where Lunsford kept a shot
gun hanging on a rack on fk" ?
After the shooting Spivey's body
lay across a bed with a huge gun
shot in the side. He is said to have
died instantly.
Funeral services were conducted
at Peachtree on Tuesday afternoon
Spivey is survived by bis wife, four
