Left to mourn him is his widow.
Sarah M Garren who celebrated her
b2nd birthday last week; one son.
, W. L Garren. and two daughters:
Mrs. K iev Morgan and Mrs Will
Burgess. AH were at his bedside when
the end came. He left. also, eleven
grandchildren, nine great grand
children, and one great-great grand
child. All these were present at the
funeral, except two.
Mr. Garren also is survived by one
j brother, Calvin, of Ellijay. Ga. and |
I a host of other relatives and friends. ;
j He was ia.d to rest in the Macedonia
Baptist church cemetery la.it Satur
day evening. The Rev. O. P. Bell
conducted the services, assisted by
the Hev. Free<l Townson. Townson ;
Funeral Home *as in charge.
The immediate cause of Mr. Gar- !
ren's death was a Cerebral Hemor- I
rhapc which took place early in the
morning of May 3. A very large
crowd gathered from all sections of
the country to attend the rites.

first time litle Miss Anne had eve:
been fishing.
A few minutes after the lines had
teen cast the 13 year old girl gave
a squeal of delight. She had hookc
ed one. Refusing aid. she handled
her rod like a vetran. and soon had
her catch landed. II was a fine basj
weighing better than three pounds
Walter and Grover Mauney, Clay
Rogers and J. L. Abernathy formed
another party that fished the lake.
They were out three hours and
each came back with the limit.

pals who have been coming to Mur
