Leuna Tatham was honored Sunday afternoon with a picnic supper jointly by members of the Andrews and Robbinsvllle chap ters of the Order of the Eastern Star and tl?e Andrews and Robbinsvllle Masonic Lodges. The affair was held at the "Tatham Gap" on tlie old Robbinsvllle road. Approximate ly 75 attended Mrs. Carrie R. Womack Worthy matron of the local chapter acted a.s general chairman for the affair. Prizes were presented to winners in various contests and races. Business Women's Circle Holds Meeting Mrs. Horace Palmer and Mrs. Jackl Herbert were hostesses to a joint meeting of the Business Women's circle and the Y. W. A's. of the Bap tist church at the home of Mrs. Herbert on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Palmer, the president presid ed. Mrs. E F. Baker conducted the devotional period. The topic "Think on these Things" was developed by the following: Mrs. J. D. Womack. Mrs. .lames Stewart. Mrs. J. V. Mc Guire. Mrs. Louise Rogers. Mrs. Palmer. Mrs. K. F. Baker, Mrs. Eton Bradley, and Mrs. Chandler. Dunns the social hour refresh ments were served The rooms were attractively decorated with late mix ed summer flowers. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Baker pastor of the church is conducting a revival meet ing in Bryson City and the speakers were introduced by H. L. Mulkey, superintendent of the Sunday school.
