Home Mission Worker To Preach At Baptist Church The Rev J. Alton Morris, pastor of the First Baptist church, has se cured the Rev. Lewis W. Martin. Atlanta. Ga.. to supply his pulpit on Sunday. October 20. Mr Mor ris is serving in a revival meeting at Manchester, Ga. Mr. Martin is Field Secretary of the Baptist Home Mission Board, superintendent of Schools of Miss ions. For more than fifteen years he served as pastor and missionary in the mountains of Eastern Ken tucky. His present work permits him to visit Home Mission fields throughout the Southern states. Scroggs i Taken At Age 86 Funeral services for John Tally Scroggs. 86, who died at his home cit Hayesville at 8:47 o'clock Mon day night, were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at Hayesville Methodist church with the Rev. Cieorge W. Carver officiating. Burial was in the Methodist ceme tery with Ivie funeral home in chargc. Surviving are four sons. Avery. Schuford and Vernon Scroggs. all of Hayesville.
