quoted from memory the entire
13th Chapter of 1 Corinthians. For
this excellent work, the girls were
presented with sewing kits and the
boys with comb sets. Also, a speci
al brass ruler was given for out
standing memory work. All gifts
were engraved with a verse of
scripture.

Mrs. Ed Messer of Route 1 has
returned home from the Mission
Hospital in Asheville, where she
underwent an operation. The past
week Mrs. Messer had the fol
