Andrews Rotary Wins Annual Cup The Andrews Rotary Club was I awarded the annual attendance cup at the 280th District Conven tion held at Shelby last week. District Governor Malcolm Wil liamson of Waynesvllle presented the hard-earned trophy to Wayne Battle, president of the Andrews Rotary, and to Gordon Butler, also a representative from the An drews club. The Andrews Rotary had com peted with 39 other clubs in the district, many of them much lar ger clubs and in locations that fa cilitate attendance. The trophy is presented by the Marion Rotary Club and is kept by the winner for a period of one year. The Andrews Rotary Club hopes to keep it for a longer time by winning again next year. The Andrews yearly attendance was 99 6 per cent. David Murphy Awarded Scout' Badge In Germany Friends in Andrews have re ceived information that David Murphy, son of Capt. and Mrs. David Murphy, is one of three Boy Scouts with the Army of Oc cupation in Germany who have been awarded the Eagle Scout Badgs. David received the honor in a special ceremony in Heidelberg, Germany, where he lives. The badge was conferred by Major General W W. Eagles. Mrs. Murphy is the former Miss Virginia (Sis' Tatham of An drews and she and her husband formerly lived in Andrews.
