James Garrett Is Taken Tuesdav James Dillard Garrett. 72, a farmer in the Sweetwater section of Clay County, died Tuesdav, April 22. in a Murphy hospital af ter an illness of seven months. He was born in Hiawassee. Ga . living there for 18 years, then moved to Unaka where he lived for a number of years, moving from there to Clay County where ne had lived for the past 21 years. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. last Thursday in New Hope Baptist Church of which he was the Odd Fellows Lodge, also. The Rev. Carl Cunningham and the Rev Ham Coffey officiated. Burial was in the church ceme tery. with Ivie Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are the widow. He was a native of Cherokee County, formerly resided in Dal las. Texas, for 16 years prior to 1896 He was a member of Moore Memorial Baptist Church at Peachtree.
