Nancy Emily Wells Weds Robert Wallace Miss Nancy Emily Well*, daugh ter of Mr and Mrs Roy Wells, and Albert H Wallace, of Chattanooga, Tenn., son of Robert T. Wallace of Bristol. Tenn., were married at 7 p. m. Friday in a candlelight service in the First Methodist Church. The Rev. R. Delbert Byrum, pas tor, performed the double-ring ceremony. The altar was decorated with large urns of snowballs and En glish Ivy, and tall baskets holding white gladioli and white chrysan themums with a background ot laurel and ivy, interspersed with i-even-b ranch candelabra holding burning white tapers. A program oi wedding music ? was presented by Mrs. Duke Whit : ley, organist, and Mrs R Del , bert Byrum, soloist. The bride was given in marriage | by her brother, WUllam J. He says that on account of the great expense of building and maintaining roads in Western North Carolina we do not get a fair share of Federal and State Highway Funds. Last year he got for this division an extra $2,500,000 from the special State Funds. Part of this money is building the new road from Murphy 'o Andrews now. If he goes to Congress he will do more than any other man to get for Western North Carolina a fair distribution of the Federal Road Money that comes to North Carolina.
