1945, 1946. 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950,'
1951. against the lands of said de- j
fendants in Murphy Township,
Cherokee County, North Carolina,!
to-wit:
Being on the dividing ridge be
tween the waters of Valley River
tod the Hiawassee River, adjoin
ing the land* of Barnett, Trull.
Puett. et ais, and bounded and
more particularly described a* fol
lows:
BEGINNING on a red oak with
a locust witness, Filo Trull cor
ner, and runs East with said line
41 poles to a stake in the Dock
Puett line; thence North with
Dock Puett line 81 poles to Andy
Harriett's corner (said line In
which it corners i; thence South 27
West with said line 91 poles to
the beginning. The same contain
ing eleven (1H4> and one fourth
acres, more or less. It being En
try No 8592 and Grant No. 18588.
And being the same land con
veyed to Marshall Gragg by deed
dated May 12, 1928 by J. R. Gragg

Pullium Home
The home of Marvin Pullium in
East Andrews was struck by light
ning Saturday night. Considerable
damage was done to the home.
None of the Pullium family was
Injured However, a banty rooster,
roosting near the house was kill
ed.
Mrs. John Cooper, who lives
across the street from the Pullium
liome. received a light electric
shock and was thrown across her
bed
The showy electric storm pro
vided considerable excitement not
only in Andrews but also in
neighboring towns. j
and others.
Being also the same lands con
veyed by Marshall Gragg. unmar
ried. to T. A. Mease, by deed dat
ed May 17. 1928 and recorded in
Book 100 at page 58.
Said lands being fully described
in the complaint now on file in
this action, reference to which is
hereby made for more full des
cription.
And for further purpose of con
demning the said land to sale to
satisfy said taxes, tax liens, inter
est and costs of this action, and to
forever bar and foreclose all right, j
title, estate, interest, claim and
lien of defendants in and to o
vpon said lands; and the said de
f ndants will further take notice
they are required to be and appear
before the Clerk of the Superior
Court of Cherokee County. Nortn

Begin Practice
Hugh Hamilton, Andrews High
School coach, began football prac
tice Monday. August 18. with
twenty-two 1952 prospects for his
team.
Coach Hamilton stated that his
boys were full of pep and ready
to settle down to some intensive
work He has only nine returning
lettermen to date. Gerald Wheeler.
Walter Raxter. Bobby Cooper, Wil
liam Franklin. Johnny Raxter.
Cecil Rogers. Cecil Frazier, Carol
Matheson. and Blaine Thompson.
' Three additional letter-men are ex
pected out when school opens.
Running from the traditional
single wing Coach Hamilton's
boys appear light but lively.
Practice is being held six days
each week from 9 until 11 a. m
and from 2 until 5 p. m.

Griggs of Marble.
The marriage was solemnized at
McCaysvllle. Ga, by Roy Chap
man. ordinary, on August 4.
The couple were accompanied
by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hughes of
Marble.
The bride wore a blue taffeta
dress with whMe accessories
Mrs. Griggs Is a graduate of An
drews High School in the class of
1951. She is employed at Lay's 5
and 10.
Mr Griggs also attended An
drews High School. He is employ
ed by the Commonwealth Lumber
Co. of Murphy.
Mr. and Mrs. Griggs are living
at Marble.
Miss Betty John Hawk has gone
to Norfolk. Va., to visit relatives
for a week.
