Friendship night was observed with a Friendship program, given by Mrs Mable McFalls. The Star points, Chaplain and Conductress had parts on the program. C. North Carolina will produce a commerlal apple crop of 2,053,000 bushels this year, according to the Oct. 1 estimate of the State-Fed eral Crop Reporting Service. This will be the largest commercial crop recorded since separate esti mates of the commercial crop was begun In 1934. Production In 1951 was 1.289,000 bushels, and the 10-year (1941-50) average was 1,090,000 bushels.
