In Hiawassee, Ga.
Paul footer, 03, a retired mer
chant and business man at Towns
County, Ga, died at 10 p. m. Tues
day, January 0, In a Hiawaaaee,
Ga, hospital after an Illness at
several weeks.
He ems a lifelong resident oi
Towns County, the son of the late
Osborne C. and Josephine BurreH
Foster.
Funeral services were conduct
ed at 3 p. m. Thursday In Lower
High Tower Baptist Church. The
Rev. W. A. Troutmsn of Baton
Rouge. La., and the Rev. John C.
Moore of Cornells, Ga., officiated.
Burial was in the family plot In
the church cemetery.
He Is survived by the widow:
cne daughter, Mrs. Z. T. Erwin
of Clesrmont, Ga , three sons.

Carter Dies In
Sweetwater
William Monro* Carter, 82, died
at 4:30 a. m., Thursday. January
8, In the home of his daughter,
Mrs. George Swanson In the
Sweetwater section of Clay Coun
ty following a long Illness.
Funeral sendee* were conducted
at 10.30 a. m. Saturday, In Sweet
water Methodist Church, with the
Rev. George Green officiating.
Burial followed In the church
' cemetery.
Grandsons, Cline and Paul Mc
Guire. Paul Carter, Luther and
Everett Swanson. and Charles
Barnes, sedved as pallbearers.
He was a native and lifelong
resident of Clay County with the
exception of a few years spent In
Towns County, Ga. He was a re
tired farmer and saw mill operat
or, and a member of Sweetwater
Methodist Church where he serv
ed as steward and Sunday School
superintendent for 55 years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs.
Jennie Greenwood Carter; three
daughters, Mrs. Swanson, Mrs.
Mary Barnes of Canton, Ga., and
Mrs. Hester MeClure of Hiawas
see, Ga.; three sons, Burt of
Hayeeville, Killlan of Lebanon,
IncL, and Tillman of Lawrenoe
rille. Ga,
