Fleming, 81, ? retired farmer died Thursday at 3 p. m. at his borne. Route 2, Murphy fol lowing ? long illness. * Funeral services were conducted at 11 a. m. Sunday In the Nbw Martin's Creek Baptist church. The Itev. Luther Swanaon, and the Rev. Grady Chastaln officiated i and burial fallowed in the church cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary oJ Webb Fleming; three daughters, Mrs Ira Helton of Culberson, Mrs. George Chastaln and Mrs. Avery Beavers of Route 2, Murphy. Also tnree sons, J. E. of Jasper, Ga., Ben L. of Murphy, and Pear Be of Route 2, Murphy; one brother, W. D. Fleming of Poet, Texas; 16 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. V. begins tonight a series of revival services at the Murphy Free Methodist Church of which the Rev. R. M. Elder is pastor. Services will be held nightly at 7:30 from Feb. 19 March 1. Special music will be included. Ledford Succumbs In Clay County Lewis Buchanan Ledford. 66, a retired farmer, died at his home at Shooting Creek at 8 a. m. Fri day, Feb. 13, after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. Saturday in Bethabara Bap tist Church, with the Rev. Boyd Hogsed officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was first married to Miss Sallie Maney. After her death, he was married to Miss Mary Ander son who survives. Surviving in addition to the widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Shope and Mrs. Effie Hog sed; one son Alonzo; and two {gran 4-"children, all of Shooting Creek.
