for cutting on an area embracing
about 375 acres within the Venge
ance Creek Unit, on Puett, Derri
berry and Kimsey Cove Branches
of Vengeance Creek, Valley River,
Cherokee County, Nantahala Nati
onal Forest, North Carolina, esti
mated to be 178.85 MBM feet, more
or less, of yellow pine, hemlock
and hardwood .-No bid of less than
$30.00 per MBM for northern red
oak; $15.00 per MBM for red maple
and birch; $12.00 per MBM for
black oak and chestnut oak; $10.00
per MBM for pitch pine and Virg
inia pine; and $2.00 per MBM for
hickory, scarlet oak, blade gum,
hemlock and breech will be con
sidered. In addition to the price bid
for stumpage, a deposit of $3.00
per MBM for all species will be re
quited for sale area betterment
work. $500.00 must be deposited
with each bid to be applied on the
purchase price, refunded or retain
ed in part as liquidated damages,
according to conditions of the sale.
