Campbell in Athens, Ga. this week. Dr. Camp bell is connected with the agri cultural department of the Uni versity of Georgia in Athens. Mrs. John Thuss and sons, Johnny and Noland, visited Mr. Thuss in Tuscumbia, Ala., last week. The family returned via 'Nashville, Tenn., where Obey visited Mr. Thuss' parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Thuss, and aire now at home where Mr. Thuss will spend some time with his Starling While on vacation, the Bakers will spend several days at Atlantic Beach. Seaman Harry Nichols, USN of Portsmouth, Va., spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Nichols of Andrews. Harry just returned from a six months cruise to Europe and a Good Will tour to India. His ship is ^ the USS Pittsburg. Seaman David Beck, who has Just made the same criuse, visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ess Beck during the past week end. Miss Betty Best and Mrs. Lynn Wood spent Sunday in Dillsboro with relatives. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Bill Teas and dau ghter, Doris visited friends and relatives in Nashville during the week end. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Zala Adams were Mrs. Victor Whitaher of San Diego, Calif., and daughter, Betty, of Chicago. Mrs. Whitaker is a sister-in-law of Mrs. Adams. Miss Betty Whitaker has been em ployed with the Home Mission Presbyterian Board In Chicago. She has resigned her work in Chicago and will return with her mother to San Diego, where she will be employed with the non denominational council.
