Vltolds Goblns, pastor will officiate and Miss Cover will1 be attended by her sister, Mrs.' Jane Cover Orr as matron of hon-1 or and by Miss Janet Ennis of Er- ' win, sister of the bridegroom elect as maid of honor. David Ennis of Erwin, brother of the bridegroom, will be best man and usher-groomsmen are Bill Teas. Arnold Derreberry and L, H? Baker of Andrews and Jerry Ennis of Erwin, brother of the bride groom and Pinckney Orr of And rews, nephew of the bride-elect. The latter two will also serve as candleligbters. Mrs. Boyd Cooper and Mrs. Arnoid Derreberry honored the couple at a dinner party at the Hotel Regal In Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Teas feted 'the engaged couple at a dinner paity at their horn, in Andrews with members of the wedding party as guests. Mrs. C. O. Van Gorder and Mrs. Alec Van Gorder entertained for Miss Cover at a lingerie shower at the home of the former in Andrews and Mrs. S. J. Gernert was hostess at a micellaneotis shower at her home in Andrews. Mrs. W. A Hoover entertained at her new home in Murphy at a dinner for some 20 guests from An drews honoring Miss Cover. Among The Sick Gene Bates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Bates Is in Salisbury Mem orial Hospital, suffering from injuries received in an automlble accident last Thursday near Salis bury. Gene, who ig a student at East Carolina College, Greenville, was returning to school after hav ing spent spring holidays here, when his car skidded and overturn ed on the wet pavement K was re ported. His mother, and Mrs. John Davidson have been with him this week, and may be able to bring him home by the end of the week according to reports. Mrs. Carrie Brittain Ray who underwent surgery at Emory Hos pital, recently has returned home and is reported to be convalescing nicely. C. S. Freel of Andrews under went an operation at Orange Mem orial Hospital, Orlando, Fla., on Ap. 4. He is reported to be gett ing along well and hopes to be home again socn.
