He was assistant Scout master, president of Junior and Senior Class in High School and won second place in the senior play. 1 Sims took eight weeks extension , work at the University of South 1 Carolina. Columbia. He entered the Army Sept. 15, 1953, and spent two and a half months in the hos pital with a broken shoulder. He is the brother of Claude Sims who was killed Sept. 5, 1950, in Korea.
