The road will cut off about six miles of school bus travel, it was reported. Official use of this road by school buses was accepted by Lew is Alexander, State School Bus and Route Inspector, Tuesday, Jan. 4 Snowbird Supply Gives S & H Stamps The Snowbird Supply Co. this week announced it will give SiH Green Stamps with purchases made at the store. A customer is given a stamp for every 10 cent purchase made, the store explained. When a customer fills up a stamp book, the stamps can be exchanged for the custo mer s choice of merchandise. Grange Stands Against Sales Tax On Groceries The RobbinsvUle Grange recent ly went on record against any leg Ulature to place sales tax on food sold over the grocery' counter . A resolution passed by the subor dinato grange read: "Be it resolved that the Rob binsville Subordinate Grange No. 1161 go on record as deploring any effort of the legislature to place any sales tax or otherwise, on food soli over the grocery counter. "We grange members contend I that such an effort to tax food 1 would serve to ur. io the very I things that the organization at- ' temps to do that of promoting the ' welfare and continued improve ment of rural life, economy and its people."
