Saturday In a Murphy hospital after been bit by a mad dog the end of last month. i The death certificate listed ra bies as the cause of death. Mr. McDonald was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee Coun ty. Funeral services ,were held at 2 :30 p. m. Sunday in White Church at Hanging Dog. The Rev. Fred Stiles and the Rev. STANDS INSPECTION Cherokee County's new 2,006 square foot health clinic yesterday was to stand its final Inspection with ' tho North Carolina Hospital Care Commission. Hie 133,849 building will bouse headquarters for such services as sanitation, vital statistics, maternal and child health, communicable and other dise?e eon- v trol, laboratory service and health education. The federal government paid <14,670 on the cost of the 11 clinic, the state paid $11,072 and Cherokee County piid $7,603.08. L. L. With Census Murphy's second town-wide church attendance crusade will get J underway tfer4 Sunday afternoon' with a religious census. The five churches sponsoring the cnisade are the First Baptist, First Methodist, Presbyterian, Free Methodist and Episcopal. Representatives from the five churches will meet next Sunday, Feb. *3, at the Baptist church at 2 p. .n. for Instructions. The Rev. J. Alton Morris is in charge of the census. A group of lay speakers from churches will rotate among the churches and speak for four Sun days, beginning Feb. 27. The Rev. ' G. H. GreUler is In charge ?' 'he lay speakers. The crusade will also be pro-.1 moted through chapel programs on Wednesday when ministers will speak to the school children. The first of these speakers, the Rev. J. A. Bault at the school, is in charge of the chapel programs. Goals for attendance have been set in each church Sunday School afid worship service.
