The newly organized Murphy Ki

soring Canton Kiwanians at a din
ner meeting Tuesday, Feb. 22 at
the Regal Hotel.

lation of Woody Robertson into the
Canton Club as a new member and
a talk by Dick McMahan on what
it means to be a Kiwanian.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will (

Church.
Collections will be made from 11 ,
a. m. until 4 p ,m. that day.
This visit of the blood unit comes ?
during the current Red Cross fund
raising campaign.
The blood program is operating
on a shaky margin here, it was
pointed out, and a large turnout ,
for blood donations is needed. |

The Town of Murphy put $1,018.43
in its till this week as the new park
ing meter receipts top the $1,000
mark for February.
Murphy kept the entire receipts
for the first month, according to
the contract signed with the meter
company.
A breakdown of the first month
of parking meters shows $175.98
deposited Feb. 8; $257.05 on Feb.
15; $265.70 on Feb. ??4; $270.1^^0

The town and the meter company
will start splitting 50-50 on the take

The bill sets up a $1.10 one day
fishing permit for out-of-staters,
and a $2.60 permit for five days of

Trilot fishermen from out of the
state will pay $1.10 for a license
and $2.10 for a special trout fish
ing stamp ? bringing the trout fish
ing permit total to $3.20 for one
day. ?
The bill, if it" passes the Senate,
will knock out the legislation pas
sed by the General Assembly
which made a non-resident pay
