Murphy, Route 1, follow ing a long lllneaa. He was a son of the late John and Minerva DeHart Breedlove pio neers of 8waln County, and had liv ed for 35 years in Cherokee County where he had engaged in farming He was the father of 16 children. 14 of whom survive. ?His wife, Mrs. Charlotte Pallas Breedlove died In 1M2 at the age of 66. Surviving are five sons. Claude of Toccoa, Ga. ; Graden of Lauda. Walter, of Canton, Ohio, Troy of Morganton and Fred of Murphy.; nine daughters. Miss Sara Breed love of Murphy, Mrs. Ernest Cook of Marble. Mrs. Dillard Griffith of Murphy. Mrs. Wilber Wood of Al mond. Mrs. C. L. Turben of Win chester. Va., Mrs. Grover White of Andrews. Mrs. Harley Hickos of Hayesville. Miss Edith Breedlove of Oakridge, Tenn. and Mrs. Lloyd Shugarts of Clearfield, Pa., 44 grandchildren, and 12 great-grand children. Also four brothers, Bob of Need more. Bill of Almond. Wood of Washington State, and Jule of Bry son City; and two sisters. Mrs. Nancy Byrd of Charlotte, and Mrs. Mary Smiley of Bryson City. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the Upper Peachtree Baptist Church of which he had been an active member for 35 years. The Rev. Bryant. 82 Dies At Culberson Joseph Marion Bryant, 82, died at 4:15 p. m. Tuesday, May 24, in bis home, Culberson, Route 2, after a long illness. He was Dorn in Union County, Ga. and was married to Mrs. Gus sie Styles Bryant, Sept. 3, 1898. He had. been a member of Hope well Baptist Church for more than 65 years, and was a deacon in the church for many years. He had been a member of Sweet gum Mason Lodge, 542, and had four sons who are members of the same lodge. Funeral services were held at 2.30 p. m .Thursday in Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. W. L. Cook, the Rev. Org Forester, and the Rev. E. M. Bed ford officiated and burial was in the church cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Surviving are the widow: six sons, Marvin, Wayne, John and Hoyt of Culberson, Route 2, Honied of Kansas City, Mo., and Claude of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Morrow of Culberson; 10 grandchildren; one great-grand child and one sister, Mrs. Lily King of Gastonia. He had been ill for a long time, critically tor the past two weeka. Mr. Jones was a native of Talk ing Rock, Ga., but had made his home at Ranger for most of his life. Until his retirement some two years ago he was a boilermaker at the Tennessee Copper Co.
