hospital after a brief lllneaa.
She was a daughter of the late
Eli and Emily Norton Sudderth al
prominent family of the Peachtree ,
section of Cherokee County.
Surviving are the husband,
Cyrus Witt; four sons, Oakley and
Max of Toms River, N. J. and Oren
and Bob of Murphy, Route 1; three
daughters, Mrs. Lois Bretx of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Kate Fin
ning of Chattanooga, Tenn., and
Mrs. Eloise Crisp of Route 1, Mur
phy; IS grandchildren, two great
grandchildren.
Also four sisters, Mrs. Eva Hum
phrey of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Edna
Hasty and Mrs. Fannie Divas of
Miami, Fla., and Mrs. J. C. Al
bright of Raleigh. Funeral services
were held at 3 p. m. Sunday in the
home, with the Rev. Lester Stowe
officiating. Burial was in Peach
ree Cemetery.
