Shirley was a sophomore at Woman's Col lege of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, the past year, majoring In music. She plans to enter the University of Florida, Tallahassee, Fla., next fall. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Branham of Raleigh will arrive Friday to spend the week end with the form er's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs H. Bueck. They will be ac companled home by their son, Ruf fln who has spent the past 10 days with the Buecks. C , Is spending three days here wi'h her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Costello. Mrs. Pool reviewed the mission study book which she wrote on Cuba at the weekly prayer meeting service at the First Baptist Church here this week. Miss Betty Sue Davidson, Span ish teacher from Tallahassee, Fla., and Miss Winnie Hester,' of Cuth bert, teacher of Chemistry in Tal lahassee, spent several days here last week with Mr. and Mrs. E. Idaho af tar a visit here with her rraad New FF Warehouse Be Started Next Month I Construction of the new Farmers* Federation Warehouse in Murphy, will start about July 18, it was learned today. The firm of J. M. Hughes and son of Murphy was awarded the general contract. The building will be 45 feet wide and 145 feet long with a 28 loot by 50 foot wing. The new structure will be erect ed where the present warehouse now stands. The new building will be con structed of brick and cement blocks with glass doors, a plate glass front and aluminum trim. He will preach his first sermon Sunday, July S. Mr. Potter comes from ArJen where he has been pastor of the Presbyterian Church there since November 1960. Most of the first half of the film was made in Atlanta where Dr. Peter Marshall was a Presbyterian minister and where he fell in love with his wife, then a student at Agnes Scott College. Richard Todd plays the role of Dr. Marshall and Jean Peters plays Catherine Marshall. The movie. In cinemascope and color contains a number of stirring scenes from DC. Marshall's ser mons as well as from his exemp lary personal life. St. Barnabas Bible School Planned The Vacation Bible School for St. 1 Barnabas Episcopal Church will start Tuesday, July 5, at the church, the Rev W. L. Russell Pastor said. Mrs. Davidson Dies Sunday Mrs. Fannie Akin Davidson, 80, widow of Charles W. Davidson, died at 7 p. m. Sunday in a Murphy hospital following an illness of sev eral weeks. She was the daughter of the late G. W. and Jane Brown Akin. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday in Fairview Metho dist Church at Ranger of which she was a member. The Rev. Asmond Maxwell, the Rev. C. Smitlvand the Rev. J. Alton Morris officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. The body remained at Ivie Fun eral Home until 12:30 p .ri. when it was taken to the church to lie in state for one hour prior to the ser vice. Pallbearers were W. S. Dickey, H. E. Dickey, Lonzo Shields, E. L. Shields, Tom King and R. J. Stire walt . I Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hugh Brittaln and Miss Hatte Davidson of Murphy; four sons, John W., Sam. L , R.
