MR. LAY Lays Celebrate Silver Anniversary and Mrs. W. M. Lay cele brated their 25th wedding anniver sary Monday, August 1, in their home here. The table was spread with an im ported linen and lace cloth and centered with a silver epergnette holding tuberoses and silver fern flanked by silver spangled white candles in silver candelabra. % The punch bowl was placed a* one end of the table and the tiered wedding cake at the other. The house was lighted throughout with candles and decorated with sum MRS. LAY mer flowers and silver ivy. Guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. W. P. Odom and Miss Josephine Heighway. Mrs. J. B. Gray and Mrs. Peyton G. Ivie pre sided at the ppnch bowl. Mrs. Dixie Palmer cut the wedding cake and Miss Hattie Palmer and Mrs. Cloe Moore assisted in serving.
