She had been a member of the Notla Bap tist Church since her childhood, and had served at Notla aa church organist, and later at Roger's Chap el. She al?o assisted her brother, the late Cornelius Zecharias Price, in singing schools which he condu cted in various communities throu ghout the county She received her education at the Bellview High School, which served Cherokee County prior to the establishment of Murphy High School. She was the author of a number of poems and other writings composed over a long period of years, and which will be published posthumously. She is survived by the husband, George Alton Martin; six sons, Sewell or Orange, N J., Robert of Murphy. Wallace of Bur bank, Calif. J G. of Greensboro, N. C , Frank of Burlington, N C . and Alton, Jr., with the army in Frankfurt.
