late Mr. and Mrs. George Lovin
good of Murphy, at 7 o'clock Sat
urday night, in the Bellview
Methodist Church
A program or wedding music
was presented by Miss Charlene
Davidson, soprano, and Miss Annet
te White pianist
The Rev. Hal Finney performed
the double ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a navy blue suit
fashioned with a fitted bodice and
a full skirt, with white accessories.
She carried a white Bible topped
with a white orchid.
Miss Priscilla Hay of Ellijay,
Ga., maid of honor, wore a suit of
beige and blue and a corsage of
pink carnations
Miss June King of Murphy, cous
in of the bride, and Miss Pat Mc
Nelley of Blue Ridge, Ga- were
bridesmaids- They wore pink car
nation corsages.
John L- Mulkey, nephew of the
br.degroom was best man. Ushers
were Roger Mulkey. nephew of the
bndegroom, and Robert McDon

95th Birthday
ANDREWS? Thomas Jefferson
Bristol celebrated his 95th birth
day anniversary Saturday at the
Bristol farm about a mile from
Andrews with his son, Robert Bris
tol and his family, with whom he
resides.
Friends and relatives called Sat
urday and Sunday afternoons to ex
tend warm wishes on this happy
occassion
Mr. Bristol has three sons, Frank
Bristol of Hayesville. Bruce Bris
tol and Robert Bristol both of An
drews; also two daughters, Mrs.
W. T. Forsyth and Mrs. Rich/rd
Patton both of Andrews. Eight
grandchildren, twelve great-grand
children and one great-great-grand
daughter
Mr. Bristol is a Mason and a
member of the First Baptist
Church. For a number of years
before his retirement he was a
merchant and farmer and served
two terms as Cherokee County
Commissioner.
He was born in Clay County Oc
tober 26, 1862, the son of Thomas
B. and Addie Johnson Bristol of
Clay County. He moved to Valley
town in 1887 before the railroad
was located in this section.
Immediately following the cere
mony, the bride's parents enter
tained with a reception at the
home- Assisting with the reception
were Miss Mary Helen Hatchett,
Mrs. Louise King, Mrs- L- L. Ma
son and Mrs- R- C- Mattox
The bride is a senior at Murphy
High School. The groom is employ
ed at Davis Esso Service Station
After a short wedding trip. Mr.
and Mrs. Lovingood are making
their home in Murphy.

Mitchell. Nebraska to join Mrs.
Hampton there with her uncle and
aunt- They will be away indefinite
ly
Mr. and Mrs- Joe E. Ray had as
week-end guests Mr . and Mrs.
James Russell, and children Jerry
and Sharon, and Mrs. Russell's
mother, Mrs- Fred Patton of Atlan
ta- Mrs. Patton remained for the
week. They are cousins of Mrs.
Ray.
Mr. and Mrs Claude Love of
Raleigh visited Mr. and Mrs- W.
P. Odom over the week-end en
route to Hayesville where Mr. Love
made the address at the dedicatory
exercise of the new Hayesville
High School.
The Rev. and Mrs- R. T. Houts
of Knoxville were week end guests
of their son, the Rev. R- T. Houts,
Jr., Mrs. Houts and Linda.
