(in dry form) 3 tablespoons lemon juice 3 tablespoons sugar Beat New Pet Instant Non fat Dry Milk and water in a cold quart bowl with a cold rotary beater by hand, or with an electric beater at high speed, until mixture stands in soft peaks. Beat in gradually the lemon juice and sugar. Continue beating until stiff. Serve at once, or chill about 30 minutes. Makes about 1V4 cups. For other tempting top pings, change the recipe tor whipped topping in the fol lowing ways: CHERRY-NUT TOPPING Fold into Whipped Topping V? cup cut-up maraschino cher ries and Vi cup chopped nuts. ORANGE TOPPING - Use chilled orange soda or orange juice in p'-ice ??f water. MOCHA TOPPING - Use 2 teaspoons instant coffee and 2 tablespoons brown sugar in place of lemon juice and sugar. Turkey Tradition Continues During Holiday Seasons A turkey on the Thanksgiving table is an American tradition dat ing back to the 17th century. "The 80-6 million turkeys raised in 1967 combined with a large carryover from last year," ex plains Mrs- Uzzle. "means that we have more turkey available this season than ever before. Turkeys should be relatively cheap as a result of this large supply". It seems that turkey is popular the year around, too. According to Mrs. Uzzle, we eat more turkeys today than ever before. The aver age consumption per person has increased from 2.2 pounds in 1936 to 5 <8 pounds in 1957.
