School Benefit
Rummage Sale To
Be Held Saturday
A rummage sale for the benefit
of the underprivileged children of
the Murphy schools will be held
Saturday from 8 *? m. to 12 and
from 4 to 5 p. m.
The sale will be conducted in th&
basement of Davidson's Store,
next to Acme Hardware
Mrs- Harry Miller will be in
charge of the volunteer workers,
and any ladies willing to work at
the sale may call Mrs. Miller.
Winter clothing has been donated
during the past week from church
groups in Asheville and Atlanta,
and will be distributed during the
coming week to the underpriviliged
and needy.
School Lunch Menu
For Next Week Told
The lunch menu for the Murphy
schools for next week has been an
nounced by Mrs. Boyd Davis, sup
ervisor.
Monday? Ravioli with beef sauce,
cheese rarebit on toast, tossed
green salad, buttered green beans,
stewed prunes, hot biscuits, butter
and milk.
Tuesday? Sliced beef with brown
gravy .cheese potatoes, buttered
whole kernel corn, sliced tomatoes,
raspberry fruit jello, hot rolls, but
ter and milk.
Wednesday? Turkey pie, cran
berry sauce, buttered green peas,
candied yams, fruit cake, hot bis
cuits, butter and milk.
