Seen* By Betty Weaver The past week has been a very busy one at Murphy High- It wai the week of six week* exams. Everyone was concentrating on passing. Reports cards came out 'Wednesday and the results were good. Monday we returned to home rooms early. There were announce1 ments about the P T A Harvest Sale to be taken home. Also each student was given two forms to be filled out by his parents and re turned. This is part of a survey being taken to find out just what the parents think about Murphy High School. Some of the questions were: " How do you rate the faculty?" "What do you think about the am ount of homework being given?", "Do you approve of the courses taught at Murphy High?", What courses do you think should be added?", "What is your opinion of the emphasis placed on athlitics?". "What do you think of the em phasis placed on extra-curricular and social activities?", "What school connected activities such as plays, lectures, or musical events would you attend if offered? "Would you be interested in adult night courses?", "In what ways do you think the school should be improved?" The results of this survey will be interesting to all of us . - WATCH THE BRIDE Our school picture came last week. Almost everyone was please with his picture- Friends trade with each other- Their collections are often jokingly referred to as the "rogue's gallery". These pictures will also be used in the annual. The photographer from Hunter Publishing Company was here to take pictures of the clubs, classes, superlatives, etc., for the annual. BOOMERAING The first issue of the Boomerr ang. our school paper came out Friday. It's big scoop was the senior superlatives. Now its up to us. the fans, to support the basketball teams as whole heartedly as we did the football team HAPPY BIRTHDAY Liada Houts was surprised to find her living room lull of girls whe? she cam* home one night recently. But someone quickly solv ed the mystery by shouting "Hap py Birthday". The girls enjoyed various games. Refreshments consisted of birth day cake, hot chocolate and Jelly beans in the school colors- The table decorations were in the shape of a harvest down with corres ponding decorations on each plate.
