funeral of Mr- Dobson.
Rev. and Mrs- John Christy and
their daughter, Karen of Newland
were guests of Rev. Christy's par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Christy
lor a visit last week.
Mrs. C. H. Jarrett and grand
daughter, Celinda Chandler spent
Thursday and Friday in Asheville
Mrs. H. E. Davis has returned
from Chapel Hill where she was
guest of her son, Whi taker Davis,
a senior in the Medical School of
the University of North Carolina,
and Mrs. Davis- She spent some
time also with her son-in-law and
daughter, Major and Mrs. A1 Swan
of Chapel Hill. She was accompan
ied on the week's trip by her son,
Dr. Jack Davis and Mrs. Davis of
Waynesville- Dr. Davis also at
tend a medical meeting in Chapel
Hill

vard College basket ball game in
Brevard Wednesday.
Harry Dewar of Decatur, Ga.,
spent several days of last week
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R

daughter, Mrs. Alice D. Harris and
Miss Cooper of Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs- James Roper has returned
to Morganton after a week's visit
here with her sister, Mrs- Clara
Sherrill. She was accompanied Sat

and Mrs. Marvin Pullium and
their daughter, Diane, who re
mained for a week-end visit.

guests this week end her son-in-law
