Katheriite Miller Receives Master's Degree Miss Katherine Sue Miller, daugh ter of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Miller. at Fayetteville, N. C., formerly of Murphy, has completed the require ments for a master of science de gree in pharmocology at Emory University at Atlanta, Ga. Miss Miller received her B.A. De gree from Agnes Scott College in 1957. She has accepted a position as a research assistant with the E. R Squibb Company of New Bruns, wick. New Jersey. Miss Miller will visit for two weeks in Fayetteville with her par-| ents before leaving for New Jersey. Mrs. Miller has accepted a position as medical librarian at Womach hospital at Fort Bragg. - Norma Crawford Honored With Shower ANDREWS ? Miss Norma Craw ford, bride-elect of Russell Pope, was honored with a miscellaneous shower Thursday at the home of Mrs. Wi^jurn Iverster. A colof motif of pink and white was observed in the decorations of the room. The tea table was cen tered with a low crystal bowl of pink and white asters. PERSONALS Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gee and their two children left Saturday for Asheville enroute to points in Flori da where they will spend a vaca tion. Mr. Gee is manager of the local A&P store. Walter their son, will make the trip with them while Martha ^ will spend the time with her grandparents in Asheville. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Delaney are spending this week in Fontana Village. They were joined there by the Willifords of Le Grange, Ga., former residents of Andrews who are spending a vacation in Andrews. Retecca Grant of Franklin spent the week-end with her grand-par. ents. Floor baskets of white gladioli and tall wrought iron urns of white asters and Shasta daises flanked by white tapers in candelabra were used in decorating the church. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a wedding gown of embroidered lace over satin, fash ioned with yoke, high neckline with long sleeves that ended in points over the wrists,. Festoon patterns of lacp appliqued on the full triple tiered skirt. Her veil of illusion fell from a coronet of seed pearls and sequins. She carried a white Bible topped with white orchids and step hanotis with a cascade of rib bon streamers. Miss Joan Gibson of Hayesville was her cousin's maid of honor. She wore a waltz length gown of Romance blue chiffon over taffeta. Bridesmaids were Mrs. June Evans of Winston-Salem a former class-' mate of the bride. Miss Martha Derreberry and Miss Judy West, both 'of Andrews. They wore identi cal gowns of nest blue taffeta fash ioned with full skirts and bow backs with matching bandeaux. Their bouquets were Better Times roses. LUtle Miss Sharon Allison of Knoxville, Tens, niece of the bride was flower girl. She wore a blue dress of organza and carried a basket of rose petals. Doyle Stiles, cousin of the bridegroom served as best man. Ushers were David Gibson, brother of the bride and Bobby Gibson a cousin. Following the ceremony a recep tion was held in the church parlor. Mrs. Daniel Vaught of Cullowhee and Mrs. Keith Allison of Knoxville, Tenn. sisters of the bride presided at the bride's table. They were as sited by Mrs. Floyd Gibsoh an aunt, Mrs. Woodrow Cox and Miss Meredith WMtaker. The table was covered wita a lace cloth, pink and white snap dragon* in a crystal and silver epergne formed the centerpiece. Tall tapers in crystal holders completed the arrangement. A dress of pink lace with white carnation corsage and matching ac cessories was worn by the bride's mother. The mother of the bride groom was attired in a beige lace dress with matching accessories and white carnation corsage. The bride is a graduate of the Andrews High School and also Is a graduate of Tennessee Wesley an College. Athens. Tenn. where she received a B.S. Degree In June.
