Therefore, pleose do not vote for me on June 25. If it was in urgent, and at that time it wag, to fill the va cancy created after the death of David Hall, the special primary could well have been called for March (and without run off), the tpecial election could have been held in April. The short-term Congress man could have really worked a few months in Washington. 1 know the self ish reasons why this was not done. The political ring did not want, it for they knew that Rollman would have been elected the Congressman, and work for all the people and icould have told the members of the political machine where to get off. Should you decide anyway to g We me the majority on Juno 25 by writing my nome on the ballot, ?? I hoar many people plan to do, I will torvo the 4 or 3 day* that Congreit it in settion, but will net accept the $11,000 pay that goci with it. No person it worth the pay of $2,200 ? day. Taxpayer* cannot be treated at sucker* forever. If the government forces me to toke the $11,000 onyway, I will proportionately divide, it amongst charitable organiza tions in all ten counties in our district. For your convenience, ond at my own ex pense, I would open a Congressional office in the district. If trips have to be mode to Washington on your behalf, I would make them at my own expense. I will not cause you any expenses as Short term Congressman. One lost explanation: I will not say be tween June 26 and November 8, "re elect" Rollman; for that would be moral fraud.
