Ranking third in total crop value, our cotton is produced mainly on smafl. family-owned farm* of 15 acres or less. Yet its importance to our economic well. being may he measured by the fact that more North Carolinians directly or indirectly depend on cotfott for their living than on any other product! Other evidence of the better living concept to be found in North Carolina is the enlightened approach to the "legal controP system for the sale of beer and ale that has long since proven its merits in the best interests of temperance and moderation.
