The News In And About Andrews Tractor Drawn Trailer Heading South Mr ond Mrs. Mark Ambs ond their five children are shown before they left An drews, Wednesday, Aug 17 heading South in a house trailer drawn by a diesel form tractor. They left Leslie, Michigan, August 5th and hope to reach Apopka, Fla , in lime for children to enter school. Mr. Ambs, a 38-year-old plosterer and ceramic tile worker, does all the driving. He travels approximately 75 miles a day at 8 to 20 miles per hour. "This has been an enjoyable trip. People have been very kind. We will olwoys consider our traveling worth while," said Mrs. Ambs Their children j are Neila, 2; Clork, 1 J; Lanetta, 8; Nancy, 6, and Roger, one ond a half. C.j Christmas officiated. Wed ding music was provided by Tommy Christmas, organist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sherman of Saratoga Springs. N. Y. The bridegroom is the son of Mr and I Mrs. Milo Mathis of Andrews. N. C Given in marriage by Carlyle Sharp, the bride wore a street length dress of orchid taffeta and a veil of embroidered nylon. Mrs. James Baer, president of the Konneheeta Wom an's club, has announced that their first meeting will be Thurs day September 15 at 6:45 p.m. in the form of a pot-luck picnic at the Andrews Carnegie Library picnic grounds. It was announced last week that the Reverened Roy L. Trexler has accepted the call to St. Andrews Lutheran Churchi and will take over new Parish work on October 1, 1960. Reverend Trexter is a native of Granite Quarry, N. C. and for the past four years has served the Prosperity Church at Con cord. N. C. He attended Lenoir Rh>ne Col lege, Hickory. N. C. receiving an A. B. degree. Rev. Trexler received a bachelor of Divinity degree at the Lutheran Theologi cal Southern Seminary, Columbia. South Carolina. Reverend Trexler has been chairman of the Mt. Pleasant Bible School committee since 1956. He is active in two mini sterial associations, and has ser ved on the Luther League com mittee of N C. Lutheran Synod. A "Missioner" in two Preach ing - Teaching Missions, he has taken part in two other Preaching Missions. He is married to the former Miss Dorothy Elizabeth Shealv of Batesburg, S. C. While there she spent several days at Camp Firestone. A picnic was held by members I of the VI. Y. F. of the First; Met! odist Church Sunday evening at 6 p.m. on the Church lawn. Earlier in the evening the group enjoyed a Badminton Tour nament. Vester Jeff May of Andrews was listed among the 729 students from N. C. State College making the dean's list for the academic yean 1959-60. The list was released Monday by James J. Stewart Jr. dean of Student affairs. Students on the list have made an average of B or better since enrolling in the institution.
