November 10, at 7:30 p.m. In the ladles parlor of thechurch. The program, "A New Ap proach In Israel" was pre sented in a panel discussion by Mrs. Frank Wilhide and Mrs. T. C. Christmas. Shrlners Visit Chlldrens Hospital ANDREWS - BUI Whi taker accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hooper of Andrews, joined a group of twenty six other Shrlners from Western North Carolina for a visit to the Cripple chlldrens hospital Sunday, November 6inGreen ville, S. C. Mr. Whitaker. chairman of the Cripple Children Hospital, Clay counties, reported they visited 72 children all under the age of 14 years, carrying gifts to them. He says he looks forward to these visits with the children and feels the Shriners are doing a great ob in their work at the Crip ple Chlldrens Hospital. Wyke- Roberts Marriage Told Andrews - Announcement has been made of the mar riage of Miss Carolyn Wyke and Daniel Roberts, October 2, at York, South Carolina. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Wyke and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Roberts of Morganton. N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts will live in Charlotte where they are both employed. Andrews Lions Host To Franklin Club Andrews - The Franklin Lions Club entertained the Andrews Lions on Thursday night at the Hampton's Grill with an exchange program showing slides of scenes of last winters snow. These scenes portrayed the for mation of ice on power lines near - by and snow covered roads leading to towerat Way ah Bald. Five Franklin Lions attended the meeting. During the business session further plans were made for football banquet to be held December 8. Fontana Group Tours Country Promoting Fontana Lodge Andrews - Dickey Higdon left Tuesday. November 8. on a four weeks tour of Newark. N. J.. Buffalo, N. Y., Chi cago, (II., Kansas City, Mo? Los Angeles and Hollywood, Calif. He accompanied C. A. Moore, operator of Fontana Lodge, and will serve as sup ervisor to twenty-five young men who are making the trip with them.
